You have to stop the tithe - it's that simple. You are using other peoples money to donate to the church knowing full well that you cannot afford to, and if you end up not paying it back it amounts to nothing less than theft.

Sorry to sound harsh but you're not actually making any payments to the Tithe. At the moment, with your debts, it's your creditors that are providing the finances for the donation. You seriously need to think this through as you could end up losing your home because of it.

COuld you speak to someone in the church about it and let them know of your situation and see what they say about it? Maybe they will tell you to stop your payments until you get yourself sorted, at least then you will have peace of mind.

I've not had any involvements with CCCS or Payplan but the way you're heading you will need to speak to these very soon and I'm not sure if they would allow such a payment anyway. Maybe someone with more experience could confirm this.

The savings you have quoted, are they enough that you will be back in the black each month?

I think there may be three options, and they are all scary, DMP, IVA or bankruptcy.

If you are adamant you wont go bankrupt you may have to consider a DMP. The interest is just going to run away with you at this rate.

Have you put everything into the Snowball/Whatsthecost calculator?

Snowballing all the debts excluding the £5k I owe my mum (which she is prepared to put on hold for now), my student loan (which is automatically taken from my salary) and the car loan and dorothy perkins loan (which I hope to repay in the next 6 weeks). It says It will take you 79 months to pay off these debts if you snowball correctly. During that time, you'll pay £10,368.00 in interest.

So basically 6 and half years to repay everything the snowball way, in interest order. That is with me using £850 to service debt, so I need to live off £1132 including paying my mortgage and rent which are £760. Balance is £372. I desperately need some more income!

    Or organise a DMP.
Mummy to two girls, 4 & 1, been at home for four years, struggling to contend with the terrifying thought of returning to work.

I've been reading up on them, and won't they ruin my credit rating.

Despite everything that has been going, I've done my up most to pay everything on time and protect my credit history since turning 18. If it's going to be on file for 6 years, one might as well declare bankruptcy and I don't want that.

Im sorry but I have to be blunt. You simply cannot afford to keep going like this, I dont think that a second job will provide the income that you need. There just isnt enought hours in the day.

You should call CCCS or Payplan just to get some advice, you dont have to go on a DMP just from the phone call.

You should also do a Snowball including EVERYTHING that you owe. This will give you a much more realistic picture, there's no use in saying 'itll take 79 months to pay everything off' when you havent included four of your debts, for whatever reason.

You said you were looking for a second income that can be done in the evenings. Not too sure how much one would pay though that you could do at home.

For evening work, look for waiting jobs. I worked at Pizza Hut during uni and it is surprising how much you can make - £5.35 per hour plus about the same again in tips. If you worked a 9 hour shift on Saturday and also worked one 5 hour shift a week after your normal work that would be approx £550 per month extra - sure to make a big difference.

Thanks Nick. I too worked at Pizza Hut from age 16-18 and I loved it. It's something to consider as I have my Saturdays and some evenings free.

    Hi there
If you are a graduate, then maybe you could look at AQA? This is a site where you find out answers to texts that are sent in. There is also mystery shopping. There is a thread that is a sticky at the top of the forum that tells all about these
