Football Manager 15

I have just checked out the newest 30 min video released by SA Games about FM15. So far I am quite impressed, the layout looks a lot more clean which I felt was a bit all over the place in FM14.
I particularly like the feature they have included when setting up your manager. You can choose to be a tracksuit type or a tactical type of manager.
The only thing I am unsure about is the new gameplay features. They emphasise on the look of the stadiums and they even mention bloody burger vans!!
I'm interested to know all your thoughts on FM15!

Been a bit bored of FM last couple of editions.
CM/FM has never been about the ancilliary activity around a football club so I have mixed feelings about them expanding into that area. However I used to have great fun on other 'manager' games which did allow you to expand the stadium etc and there aren't many of them about these days.
The old Premier Manager series was great fun. It wasn't CM/FM, nothing was, but there is room for a quality game that allows you to take complete control.
I'd love something similar in FM15 with an option to turn it off for those who don't want it.0 -

I totally agree, I used to like those game too where you could expand stadium etc but I think there was a reason why they didn't really continue. The manager would never really have a say in the expansion of a stadium would they? I really like taking full control of every aspect of the manager like training schedules etc. I quite enjoyed FM14 and looking forward to this one.0 -
why are football manager games never released on consoles anymore? my dad likes this type of game but they only seem to get released for pc.0

Games like football manager are designed for a mouse, so can be difficult to control on consoles, usually when you get them on consoles, they're basic, cut down versions.
Its not really the type of game that suits consoles (or console gamers), and therefore dont tend to sell well0 -
I'm not sure I really want to be drawn into this again tbh. It just takes over your life!
I do hope they improve the press conference's somewhat though. I just found them so tiresome.0 -
Got it pre-ordered, as I normally do with FM15 but not sure what the new features are, haha. FM is a must for me every year.0

Yeah I agree they need rejigging now. I would like a bit more variety on the conferences.0 -

they used to have them on ps1 and ps2. also games aimed at the console, market still make it to pc. as its so expensive to be a pc gamer i cant imagine sales of any game being that great on pc when compared to console.0 -

Actually it can be cheaper. You don't need to spend £2000 to play games. You can in fact build a PC which will outperform both consoles for a similar price to the consoles. You won't get a monitor for the price but PCs can be used with TVs as well.
Total cost of ownership is also less as time goes by as games are cheaper, and there are a lot more of them. There are often considerable discounts on AAA games > 6 months old.
The PC Gaming economy is worth around double that of consoles and is growing much faster. Consoles are based on old hardware and there is a furore growing over publishers such as Ubisoft locking console games to 30fps and also (under pressure from Sony and Microsoft) attempting to lock PC games to the same.
PC Gaming has a medium/long term future, console gaming is not so certain.0
