Sending a parcel to Australia

What's the cheapest way to post a parcel over 2kg to Australia? It's not printed matter and it doesn't matter how long it takes to get there.

Can the contents be split over two parcels? That's what my friend does when posting to her daughter in Australia.

The contents could be split but the contents of each parcel would still probably be over 2kg. Which courier does your friend use?

She doesn't use a courier, just Royal Mail. Hope you find a way to do it.

I have a company that I recommend that you avoid. UKMail!!!!!

I paid them to deliver a parcel and they lied all along. They made changes to the agreed terms and charged me for doing nothing! Their online website is ipostparcels.

There was short time constraints on when my delivery had to be done by and I paid a couple of £'s more at DespatchBay and they got it there within the expected delivery time frame and two days inside my latest possible delivery time. UKMail would not of got it there despite the pickup supposedly being four days earlier if they had actually picked it up.

Think about insurance and what happens if it does not arrive because you need to be very careful with delivery company terms. A lot of stuff is not covered or there are limits to damage and payments made because of loss/damage.

The cheap companies offer very poor service in almost every case. If it does not go right then it can be very difficult to sort out or make a claim!
