can my chat company just cut my wage like this

I am wanting to earn more cash to help my family i am a mum too 3 young kids and cant afford child care for the time i could work and family are not in the position to help..
i worked for a adult chat company called LIVE LINES UK after seeing there add in the local paper..
i worked for a few months and cause i couldnt carry on cause of the lack of calls and the night shifts were not suitable for me due to childcare i had to give my notice last week.. the manager of live lines got very nasty over the phone called me a liar when i complained at the lack of calls, i wasn't rude to her although i could feel myself getting angry due to her stinking attitude i said i had to give my notice to leave. i was quite happy to work for the following week so i didn't let them down but her words were well if your going to leave go now.. so i said ok then she just put the phone down, so today i checked my final wage and they have paid me the flat rate of 10p per minute rather than 14p per minute.. i know 4p a min don't sound like a lot but its taken over £30 of my last wage!!! i didn't call them as i don't know if there allowed to do this or not.. can someone point me in the right direction..
also do people recommend any other chat companies???? i am not working for another chat company but there's not so many calls coming through.. so i don't seem to be making much i don't want to go back to live lines as i don't want to deal with the manager and her attitude... :mad::mad:

We don't know your contract of employment to know whether she can deduct your wage.0

That company is well known for this, so in a way they may have done you a favour. Try googling chat lines, off my the top of my head, Excel Tel-media, DCA, Elite Communications. All good companies and pay well and on time. PM if I can help further.2020 Stash makes/destash 61/1500

no you pay your own ni/tax as its self employed.. they have paid me at the lower rate and i dont know why..0
