bank charges

hiya

i'm in the middle of claiming my bank charges back, and was very surprised that it totalled so much in view of this i had to remortgage my house. does anyone know if i can claim compansation for this?

    No you cannot.

    It doesnt cost anything apart from court fees which certainly do not require you to remortgage your house.

    you mis- understood what i meant. i meant that because my bank charges were so high i got into debt and had to remortgage my house to keep my house
