Not really familiar with the NHS apprenticeship scheme, but in general, for an NHS interview, the person spec for the role will tell you all the skills and competencies they require of you, so familiarise yourself with that again before your interview.

Questions will usually be generic, not specific to you, but it is always a good idea to just go over your application, just in case they ask you something relating to what you said in your application.

It may help to speak with the named contact prior to your interview, just to show you are keen, and ask them a question or two about the role, and the key skills they are seeking.

A quick google search will bring up some standard NHS interview questions, which would be useful to think of a few key answers to, and, as an apprentice, I would have a good answer for why you wish to join the NHS rather than any other organisation prepared also.

    Good luck.

Was it really necessary to post four different threads about this?
  • Son had an interview for the NHS (Maintenance Apprentice) a couple of years ago and he was sent a load of information when they sent the appointment. He also had to do a five minute presentation on a subject of his choice. The covering letter also stated that they 'provide a general outline of potential interview questions and it is recommended to read the attached interview specification carefully'. The letter also stated that they were looking for candidates to use their initiative and offered candidates the chance to look around the site before the interview.
