Motor Mile Finance (MMF) Will NOT Stop calling!

Hi all,
I'm after some advice please.
Motormile Finance keep on calling me incessantly. I was wondering if anyone knew the rules regarding how frequently they are legally allowed to contact me.
So far, today, they have called me ten times (Starting at 09:38, with the latest call being at 13:27)
Do I have any sort of legal standing here? Or can they call as often as they like?
Cheers :-)

Hi TTP
Sorry to hear the nuisance this is causing you.
There's no strictly defined limit on how often a company can call you. Ten times in four hours does sound like a lot by any standards, though we have heard of even worse examples down the years.
I would suggest that you compose a letter/email outlining your concerns to MMF and demand that future correspondence be in writing only. The Financial Conduct Authority's Consumer Credit Sourcebook refers to:
"contacting you too frequently or at unreasonable times"
as an unfair or improper practice. You should refer to this in your letter to make it clear that their conduct could justify a formal complaint.
There are plenty of letter templates for this kind of scenario on this forum. We also have a fact sheet of our own on the topic - you can read it at:

I would go further than Dennis and say that this is harassment. Citizens Advice say a couple of times a day.
You will need to stick at this. Bottom feeders like MMF have cloth ears.
The thing that worked with DLC (who didn't respect my first letter) was a complaint. I included the requirement for them to remove my telephone number (since communication was to be in writing only). When they continued to call and wrote refusing to remove my number, I complained to the ICO.
I didn't get much from the ICO, but the calls stopped at that point and I haven't had one in the years since.BSC No 248

I can't understand the mentality of these companies, in what way would a persons ability to pay change in course of half an hour?, the only motivation must be harassment.
I think it has to be the next thing thats clamped down on it must make peoples lives a misery.ISA £1675MiniMoohound savings £3685.86 :T Plus £3800 CTF

Thanks for the replies and assistance all
I'll get a letter out to them tomorrow and will update you all as to how it goes.
It's bad really because they phone me in working hours. Over and over again (they phoned me 3 seperate times at 13:27 today whilst I was in a meeting). You would have thought that they would get the message when I rejected the first call.
Have a great evening all
