First Utility - Don't move!

I signed up with them about six month ago and their completely online service was fine for submitting readings and paying bills.
Then I moved.
I found a phone number and after a 15 minute wait gave my final meter reading and asked for a final bill to be prepared.
Nothing. Except new requests for meter readings and bills.
The phone was now having wait times of over 30 minutes (after which I hang up).
I found a contact form and submitted my request again. I have now submitted the final meter reading about three times by email and once by regular mail.
The latest is a threatening email advising me the costs of disconnecting the supply and that my case will be passed to a debt collection agency.
As I write this I am currently waiting 20 minutes for the phone to be answered.
Please beware if you are considering swapping to First Utility.

Have you managed to sort this out?0

Maybe, after a wait of 35 minutes the call was answered and after 65 minutes I had spoken to one nice guy who gave me confidence that the account would be closed and a final bill sent, also to a rather dozy lady who said that the threatening email would be marked 'under dispute' and consequently not sent to debt collection.

Account number has changed. Still no final bill.
Normally quite sanguine about these things but now I am getting distressed.0 -

Whenever I move I register a new imaginary tenant, if the supplier has been bad I change supplier as well.
When another new tenant comes they just do the same thing. Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
Just check them out on reviewcentre.com if you want some independent reviews of this company. Total crooks.0
