Hello,
In spring I bought a Baavet woolen quilt, it seemed such a bargain at £80 (seconds) for a 100% wool, cotton covered kingsize quilt. I was really keen on having a natural material so it sounded ideal.
It is really beautiful, very well made and looks and feels like a great quality item.
Except that it smells of sheep, in such a way that I could not bring myself to use it in the bed.
I could have returned it and they would have accepted it but I hoped that over time it would have lost the farmyard (and to be honest, poo:eek:) smell.
I aired it for weeks outdoor, I washed it in the machine, then I aired it again.
The smell has faded somewhat but not enough to make it usable in the bed.
Any suggestions (other than get rid of it)? Thank you.

Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Will it fit in a bin liner? Just wondering if chucking a load of bicarbonate in with it for a while might help? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

My Baavet has lost its smell after being used for 6 months. But I love the smell of sheep so it wasn't a hardship for me to sleep with it!
