I did not disguise anything. I was interested to see the different responses given by motorists and cyclists in the two different forums and they were indeed very different.0

I am sure a lot of cyclists drive too though! I drive, cycle to work and am a pedestrian sometimes too!
So I will answer as all three. I have lights to be seen, not to see.
Actually since I have started cycling I think I have become a better driver and pedestrian, I am more aware of what other people might do! Maybe all drivers should try a bit of city cycling!:T0 -
OK first of all this is London we are talking about, so very brightly lit, street lamps, lots of other vehicles, lot of cyclists in high vis tops. Often with high vis strips on their back packs and even LEDs on their shoes too. So we are not talkingcyclists on dark unlit country lanes.
Two points there - firstly not every street in London is brightly lit and many cycle paths aren't, so you're making a number of assumptions about the cyclists' journeys. Additionally, in poor weather conditions it can be especially important to stand out above the background "blur" of lights. Many regular cyclists will have sufficient lighting to cater for these scnarios and will generally use them in low visibility.
Can I ask if you had your headlights on at the time?0
