Cant decide on a) or c)
which is an example of indirect discrimination
a) requiring a driving licence for a job that is office based
b) sacking a woman because she is pregnant.

Google is your friend.
Pregnancy i believe is a protected characteristic, so b is out as you say.
Being unpopular is not a protected characteristic and ignoring someone who is unpopular (while infantile and inappropriate) is not likely to affect a protected group more than any other.
The driver's licence for a job with no driving would disproportionately affect disabled people and the company would have to show legitimate business aim.
So i'm saying...a!
There's employment lawyers on MSE, i'm sure they'll tell me if I'm right or not!Union official.

I may tell you based on information given how I might approach an employment dispute case, but you should always seek advice from your own Union representative. If you don't have one, get one!0 -
B is clear direct
C is not indirect as being unpopular is not a discriminatory charactoristic however it is slightly more complex if you examine it in detail...is the colleague unpopular due to him or her being gay??? or from a religion or group such as goths or muslim(due to media portraying these ppl in a negative light, could become unpopular)...however the simple answer would be no
A is definitely indirect as people with a disability would be at a disadvantage for the office job0 -
You cannot say anything regarding a and c without more information from the OP.the_donchichio wrote: »B is clear direct
