still possible to claim refund/compensation from GMAC

I discovered quite by accident (looking for details of Forces mortgages for daughter) an old thread relating to the possibility of refunds for excessive charges from GMAC.

If anyone is late to this party like myself here is an update. We redeemed our mortgage with them in 2007. I rang today, updated details, and they confirmed that they had indeed written to us in 2009 but of course we had moved. £194.62 is due - woohoo! Will be with us 7-10 days.

If anyone needs an uptodate phone number for the GMAC that was, ring 0844 7708000 as the number in Martin's original info is now invalid.

These articles are the result of 5 years of research into the questionable activities of these companies. THere is still a WHOLE load more dirt to uncover, but what I state is PROVABLE and I can provide the documents to do so, in fact I will, to the Police, on Monday 30 March 2015.

Feel free to conduct your own research too, you may well uncover something important.
