Aldi and Iceland Pizza now only 89p each

It seems some sort of competitive pricing going on , Aldi have knocked down their already barganed priced pizzas from £1 to 89p and I went into Iceland and there basic pizzas are down from £1 to 89p. I hope this is the return of silly competitive pricing

I spotted this too = the aldi pizza's are really nice, esp the deep pan bbq one

yes they genuinly are. The double pepporini in ladi is great i add fresh chillis and greak style cheese to make it a great pizza

The Iceland ones are not very nice seriously lacking in toppings, but OK if you use them as a base to put your own on. But then you could make pizza dough much cheaper than 89p per pizza.

Aldi's Ham & Pineapple pizza is lovely. My stepson loves the Grilled Vegetable one. Loads of topping.

Both absolutely incredible for the price. Almost as good as the ones from our local pizza place but a sixth of the price.

Iceland reduced their prices a long time ago, it's Aldi who have lowered their prices to match. They claim to be the cheapest, then have to quietly lower their prices to MATCH the competition!

I'm a pretty big fan of most Aldi things, but if it's the 'Specially selected stone baked' pizzas I wouldn't be bothering. I like thin pizzas., but the one we bought last week was like eating cardboard. In fact, the box would have been easier to chew and swallow. Good job I'm a) not fussy and b) too tight to throw away any food after I've paid for it!

Just had a Lidl one - very good but massively more expensive (99p), will probably zap the next one with more cheese, was a bit outnumbered by the ham and pineapple.

My very fussy husband complains if I buy anything *other* than the 89p aldi pizzas - he thinks they are the tastiest ones. Great for customising, too - think "pimp my pizza"
