Couldn't see if this had been shared but the deluxe wooden play kitchen is back at Asda for just £40! I tried to get one of these last year and it went so fast. Saw it on a Facebook bargain group I'm in this morning and managed to nab one this time

Looks lovely but have seen some not so good reviews (hduk) about the doors coming off, but still a good price!0

not the kitchen, but bought a dolls house a couple of years ago, lasted all of 5 minutes. They are made of cheap MDF and the screws all work loose!!0

a friend's child had this last year. It fell apart after a very short while. £40 is far far too much for stuff of this poor quality.
Looks like the usual price to me as well, no reduction or short term pricing or anything, so not a grabbit either. So many people simply don't seem to understand what the grabbit board is really for.0 -
That's not great merdoom and tracey
I've never been on hduk. Ladies in a parenting group I'm in raved about it said it was a deal price. Will see what it's like when it arrives, if it's that bad I'll return for the ELC one.

I bought a wooden kitchen (not deluxe) from Asda two years ago. Was a bit of a 'mare to put together (unclear instructions) but is still going strong. Yes ocassionally a bit comes loose, but so does the ELC wooden dolls house we bought a couple of years ago - I think it is just the rough play. I certainly wasn't disappointed with it.0

Thanks angel. We have a wooden train set with storage table on wheels from Asda and it's really solid and still going so I had no issue ordering. Hopefully all will be ok0

We have the train set too! It's fared well with my toddler son doing his best to destroy it since last Xmas :-)0 -

I bought this last year (again not the delux one) and would agree with everything written above. Instructions were very poor but since it's been up it's been fine. My DD hasn't had any issues playing with it at all. At some points it's had 3 toddlers playing with it at once no problem. It think I paid £35 for it.
Maybe that's the one your parenting forum raved about, rather than this delux model.0 -
I was really disappointed when I couldn't find one of these kitchens as I really wanted to get one as a Christmas present. I even tried phoning loads of Asda stores and also phoned customer services a few times.
Luckily I managed to find one on Gumtree, I had to pay a bit more, but I don't mind as I think its still really good value for money.
The person I got mine of had another 2 available if anyone else was looking for one.
Just search Asda George Home Deluxe Wooden Kitchen (toy/play kitchen) on Gumtree0 -
Dont waste your money - there's a reason Asda have discontinued it. Lots of wrong parts and damaged parts. It's lovely, but just not the quality you would expect from George.
If anyone can sell a drawer or even just the front panel - please let me know below0
