DeputyShip of property & bank accounts of elderley grand paranets

Options
hi
is DeputyShip really necessary as it seems an expensive option. Or is there an alternative option.

Why Deputyship and not Power of Attorney. AIUI deputyship is only required if the person concerned is not mentally capable of granting PoA. If they are capable PoA is much easier.

And if they are not capable then no, there is no alternative to deputyship. Although if you can take a methodical approach to the forms, you don't have to use a solicitor.

    LPA forms here.

£110 to register an LPA, you might have to pay fees to get doctors signatures too.
