Your expenses can be offset against the tax you pay so may not be a major issue?
Is £2,700 the brokers fee alone? If so then I would suggest finding another broker.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. well it is 200 quid fee for the work and he also takes 1% of the total loan amount....
I am aware about the tax offset up at the end of the day 80% of 2700 is what it costs....
what should a broker charge for such work....????0 -
This is not an easy case to place so you should expect to pay a fee.
£2,500 is excessive in my opinion. Less than half would be my estimate.
There are no set fees though, as long as the amounts are disclosed properly a broker can charge what they feel is right.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. try natwest international dot com
e.g. 2 yr fix @5.31%, 75% LTV, 1% fee0 -
Hi did you ever get this sorted. Yes the broker is charging quite a high fee when this case could be placed with a lender that will pay the broker a small fee so he should really reduce his fee. Sounds like they are just being greedy.
