Hanspree JT01-32E2-000 32" LCD HD TV***HELP REQUIRED***

COULD YOU HELP ME?

I bought a Hanspree JT01-32E2-000 32" LCD HD TV and it was delivered to my house. I opened the box and set it up but had to leave home due to an emergency at work. When I returned home my wife
had disposed the box in which the TV had been deilvered.

Now there is a problem with the sound in the TV and Hanspree is willing
to take it back to their factory to fix the problem but only if the TV is
sent in the box it was delivered.

If you have purchased the same TV and have the box, please please could I borrow your box for a week so I can send my TV to be fixed.
I live in ealing and could come and pick it up at a time and place
convenient for you.

Please let me know.

Those are illegal terms and conditions.

Whichever retailer you bought it from is obliged to take it back and EXCHANGE it for a new one as it is brand new.

    Box or no box.

You don't have to accept a repair on the first day you bought it!!

I have just resolved a problem with a panasonic plasma tv which I purchased in April. The screen developed lines running through it. Won't bore you with the long story but after numerous calls to the retailer and panasonic (who both wanted to repair the tv but couldn't give a timescale of how long this would take), I now have a brand new one. An engineer was sent to my home on behalf of panasonic who informed me the tubes were faulty. I reported this to panasonic who told me that plasma tvs don't have tubes!!!!!!! Anyway, I suggest you call Consumer Direct (part of Trading Standards I think). I think you will find that within the first 28 days of purchase, under the Sale of Goods Act you can return the TV and receive a like for like replacement. Check with Consumer Direct first. Hope this helps.
