When to appointment Solicitors?

made an offer on the house and going to issue a survey with Barclays as I have a offer in principle. Should I wait for the survey and final offer to come through before instructing my solicitors? Just in case my final doesn't get accepted?
Many thanks

You need to know who you will use as your solicitors on the application form.
You can either ask the firm to hold off doing any work until the offer comes through or if time is important then you can have them do the work before the offer - however you risk incurring costs and being declined for the mortgage doing it this way.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. You can appoint solicitors at any time. Just ensure that they do no work prior to the mortgage offer being made. Also that they are acceptable to the lender.0
