Halifax Product Transfer Rate

Hello
Wondering if anyone can advise on historical product transfer rates and duration for halifax please?
Currently they have 2.49% for 2 years and 3.44% for 4 years both ending in January of the year they end (not the best new year present ever if rates are a lot higher
)
Was hoping for a 5 year fix - Anyone had this before on product transfer for Halifax?
If I sign up online for the 4 year fix - Do you know how long I have to sign paper work - Trying to figure out if I should take 4 years or wait and hope they release 5 year deal.
Thanks

I have had my mortgage with them for two years. I have only seen 2 or 4 year fixes during this time. Think the 5 year fixes are only for those moving their mortgage to Halifax.
Just to advise you do it online as if you do it over phone or in branch then you will go down the mmr route. You can only do it online if you are not changing the term or increasing borrowing.
You have 6 months from the key facts being issued to complete the transfer, it can be done in a calendar month as long as paperwork is back by the 27th of the month.
Hope that helps.0 -

Thanks very much, that information helps, I wonder why they don't offer us 5 year or better rates which compare to new customers0 -
As above, not sure that I've ever seen a Halifax 5yr product transfer rate.
In fairness even the 5yr rates available for new customers aren't brilliant.I am a mortgage adviser.You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
