  • As above, Chromoplastics are the best about. Worth the extra. But something like this might be a better option for you. Cheaper/easier to fit:

  • The easiest and cheapest will be the crud catchers the best for the winter on a hybrid are the SKS ones.
I have both and can tell you the SKS are definatley better. To the person who says do you really need mudguards? I think you do in the winter because it can get very cold with your bottom and feet/ legs wet through from rain off the roads.

Have you looked in Poundland /Poundworld etc
    Seen some in there before
I bought a set of mudguards from Poundland last year for my Pinnacle Lithium 4 hybrid. They are a nice blue colour that looks good with the black frame. They are available in black and red too.

The only downside is that the metal screws now look a bit rusty but that is only noticeable on close inspection and may well happen anyway with pricier mudguards. A smear of vaseline or similar on fitting may well reduce or eliminate rusting. Or replace the supplied screws with brass ones.

£1 for mudguards is a bargain.

Well thanks for all your comments, went for a pair of chromoplastic ones from Halfords (I know), they are fitting them for me since the bike was bought there for free. Didnt trust myself to fit them properly without resorting to violence towards the bike.
