You will get there, and you are paying off loads every month - maybe it would be better to not worry too much about the dfd if it means cutting back so much in the next few years that you are going to get fed up and not stick to it?
Great news about one cc down in October. :T
Good luck, I've subscribed.
Ah lovely words golightly, thank you so much for stopping by and subscribing!
You're totally right I do need to take a step back, it's typical of me to be this impatient! Just going to focus on getting as near as I can to the £2000 per month mark and hitting the 50 somethings for now!
Anyway best get off the boards and get a shift on in packing the car up!!!

Evening All
Busy, busy day today on the DFW front!
-took back some long overdue returns (DD2s shoes which didn't fit) got £15 back and sent it straight to CC1
-Did a mega monthly shop based on meal plan I've done for the month (still need to get meat for the month, butcher is giving me a price tomorrow) Spent a fair bit but we haven't shopped for 2 weeks and used up every last thing in 2 freezers and most of store cupboard
-called sky and will cancel HD saving £5.25 per month, better than nothing
-hung up washing instead of using TD (will hang out on line in morning)
-charged phone at work
All the small things and all that!
Few things knocked off the list, still a few things left to do:
1.Investigate purchase of second hand slow cooker
2.Try on all girls winter school uniforms to see if can squeeze them into them for another year
3.Have a scoot round house for ebay stuff to sell
4. Do a new SOA
So tired after a mega busy weekend and day at work, so am off to rest my weary eyes now, just wanted to check in as its been a few days with our weekend away and am keen not to lose momentum!

Morning all!
Quick early post this morning as I ran out of time to post last night!
Only a few small DFW activities yesterday:
-free veg and potatoes donated by neighbour (they have loads more on their allotment than they can get through apparently!)
-promise of cucumbers, tomatoes and courgettes over the coming weeks -we get through lots of these so that's fab!
-months worth of meat purchased, portioned up and frozen according to the monthly menu planner
-charged phone at work
-didn't use TD
No other activities knocked of the list as yet!
Still need to send over the extra payment of £300 to CC1 ...need to get on and do it! Will make sure I do it today!

Hi everyone! Busy busy day today at work and home, I'm exhausted! Moved over £719.21 to CC1, managed to bag some seriously reduced meat and fish in sainsbugs and did a huge batch cook of broccoli and white bean soup with toasted pine nuts and parmesan - it tasted amazing!. Stocks in the freezer are now filling up nicely, although on the downside we have now spent a fair proportion of the monthly shopping budget. On the plus side I figure we wont need meat/fish for at least 6 weeks and really only need fresh stuff when we run out (like milk, cheese, etc)...so tired though, so off to bed! Happy Friday All! Feeling super positive today! Calculated that we've made it to 18.66% debt paid off (almost a fifth!) and I've printed myself off a hundred square (kids use them at school) and I've hung it on our notice board in the kitchen after scrubbing out 100-83. Its soo motivating! Will update sig shortly but knowing we have only £250 to go to hit 19% and roughly £800 to go to get below £60k has really lifted my spirits, and I haven't even started looking for stuff to sell yet either! On another positive note, I found brand new clarks school shoes online on eBay in exactly my daughters shoe size and won them both with a £28 saving on what I'd have paid for the same shoes in the store ! I've also tried their coats on and both have plenty of room for the coming year! I have yet to try their school shirts and dresses/skirts on and I definitely need cardigans, socks and tights but figure roughly £25 should cover the lot - I'd budgeted £100 so am feeling pretty chuffed with myself right now! Will make sure I sweep the leftovers straight to CC1 so I can make a dent in the £250 and get nearer to 19% and the 50's! Busy day planned tomorrow clearing wardrobe's for eBaying and a family day owl hunting(!) on Sunday planned - cheap and cheerful but girls will love it! :T I've just started doing this! I've just coloured my 1st square in and it's a good feeling. Sometimes it's easy to get bogged down with big numbers but seeing a square filled in is a great feeling. Well done on the first square digging!
Its a great idea and a great tool, so I'm really pleased I discovered the idea on here as its now hanging proudly on the notice board as a reminder of how far we've already come!
Had a mega busy morning so far, managed to try on DD2's uniform, just needs 1 new cardigan, 1 new PE tshirt and some pumps (annoyingly DD1 always loses hers otherwise I'd have handed them down!) Still have to pin down DD1 to try her stuff on but my back is breaking after making a start on clearing wardrobes so thought I'd take 5 and catch up on some diaries before pinning her down, fingers crossed she doesn't need much either!
Next plan of action is to work out which stores have the best offers on uniforms ...urgh hate this job!
Really want to invest in a slow cooker, I've posted on freegle but no-one has come forth with anything yet. I've found an Andrew James one on ebay 6.5 litres ex demo model for £32.99 which seems reasonable but as things are tight this month I don't really want to part with that much money. Any advice out there for me? Really need at least 6.5 litres and with a timer.
Many thanks in advance!!

Evening all,
Had a lovely family day today, lots of quality time with the kiddiwinks and fun cooking with some gorgeous free homegrown veg donated by the neighbours..even managed to rustle up an amazing rhubarb and apple crumble made from homegrown rhubarb ...yum!
DD1 really getting into the "grow your own" way of life (she's been inspired!) We spent the afternoon planting some raspberry, blueberry and blackberry plants along with a bit of basil too, she loved it! Really need to get our finger out and sort out a mini plot to start growing our own! May have to add this one to the list!
I've got no further with sorting out the cupboards for ebay stuff since yesterday, really felt I needed to give the DDs my attention today, so will push that one back to next Sunday!
Still admiring my 100 square....it's the little things isn't it?!
