Reclaiming Tax From a Holiday

Options
I went to Canada a few times with my Grandparents when I was younger and remember them keeping receipts because they could claim their tax back once they were home.

We are going to France, Belgium, Amsterdam and Germany next week and I was wondering if it is possible to claim the tax back there, or is it not because I live in Europe anyway? I did have a quick Google but can't really find much.
Also, if it is possible, would I have to separate each claim for each country? Thanks

What kind of tax do you wish to claim?
There are 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who do not.
  • Hi, if I remember rightly it was the VAT back on food and gifts purchased whilst abroad?

Every year millions of UK citizens go on holiday to Europe, I've never heard of any of them claiming back VAT. I think this only applies to nationals of non EU countries.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

GST on goods exported is reclaimable to non-Canadian residents.

    Both have same rules.

Are you resident outside the EU?
