debt with bank barclays but accounts with lloyds

Hi all

I have recently changed jobs as as result cashed in my shares which have amounted to about £600 so not too much
I now don't know where to put this money I have plans to use it to buy passports and help to pay off my wedding next year.
I have debts both me and partner with barclays bank

But we have an account with lloyds bank and we also have isa with lloyds bank and I think what I am asking is, is our money safe in there?

I also just have a savings account with sainsburys bank so I not sure which one i don't want to be a victim of offsetting

I am on a DMP and paying back what I owe

If you are not getting married until next year then wedding and passport costs can be saved for from your existing budget (Could you possibly ask for the cost of passports as wedding presents?).

It sounds like the Barclays debts are not in the DMP, shouldn't all debts be in the DMP?

Do you have any money in the Lloyds ISA and the Sainsbury's savings account?

You could use the £600 to make full and final offers to your creditors, to help clear some debts once and for all.

    Hi
We need passports to give notice to marry! And all debts are included in DMP including barclays no debts are left out, at moment £10 in isa and £1 in sainsburys

As far as I am aware Barclays are a "stand alone" organisation, and are not affiliated to any other high street lender.

Offset only occurs where the debt is owed to a Bank within the same group of companies.

    You should be safe.
