Rewards for Thoughts Surveys

I recently received an invitation from Avios to earn 600 Avios by signing up to the Rewards for Thoughts survey site. I did so, and duly received the 600 Avios, thank you very much. It was a bit tedious as when you think you've completed one survey, you are then told you've qualified for the survey. Bit odd. It took a while too, but eventually got there.
Since signing up I've received about 10 invitations to surveys - all with the promise of 50 Avios for anything from 10 - 25 minutes work. I tend to ignore the longer timed ones because I simply do not have 25 minutes to spend on a survey for a mere 50 Avios. For the shorter ones (i.e. 10 minutes), you log in and spend several minutes answering a load of seemingly random questions only to be told that you don't qualify for the survey or that you're about to be asked a load of qualifying questions to find out whether you do qualify for the survey (and at this point it tells you that the survey takes 17 minutes to complete, not the 10 mins you were told in the email).
Overall I've found it tedious, annoying and not much fun and for little reward. I've closed my account as a result. But I'd be interested to know if others have had the same experience or whether I've been a bit hasty?

No - you have not been hasty. My experience is identical.
This is a cynical site that rewards people initially, then exploits them.
People will find it reasonably easy to get the 600 initial points.
Then each survey you try, you answer numerous and detailed survey questions, and after you have wasted 30 minutes, RfT then gives the message 'you are not suitable for this survey.' (And therefore - no reward!)
My advice - be equally cynical, take the joining bonus 600 points and close your account.arghhh!!!0 -
I agree. Its a frustrating way of wasting ones time, Today - hurrah, hurrah - I at last got into a survey. After wasting twenty five minutes on wading through the questions, my answers to one set of questions were rejected several times over, and I finally abandoned the process0

Agreed... I have just signed up; gave away lots of information; have not even been given the initial 600 points. The points are promised when you complete a survey, but you are never allowed to do so... all the information you give seems to be qualifying for one...0
