Worried about losing my volunteer work

I was recently taken on as a volunteer at a local school as I needed a placement before I could start college (i told them this) however the course I was going to do increased in price meaning I can no longer afford to enrol , however I would still like to continue volunteering at the school as I'm enjoying it, what are the odds of them keeping me as a volunteer even though I won't be going for my qualification any more? I want to be upfront with them but I'm worried they will dismiss me

It will depend on whether they have policies about only having volunteers who need placements. Assuming this is not the case, it will all come down to how happy they are with the support you provide and they feel that they would be really missing your work if you were gone or replace by someone not as capable.

If you have a PVG and are helpful & reliable I can't see any reason they wouldn't allow you to volenteer. Most schools are always looking for parent helpers.

The op is from Wales. What recognition does the PVG have in that country?

Well I'll rephrase... as long as you have completed the police check, named accordingly dependent on your area...

They might be best taking your advice instead.
