How long do you wait for wins to arrive?

I found out I won a popcorn maker & ice cream maker on 15/09 from a rafflecopter on a blog. I was informed via Twitter and told to send a DM with my address, which I did. I never got a response from my DM but I assume she read it. I went away for a week shortly afterwards, but I assume a note would've been left in my postbox if it had been delivered when I wasn't here. I kind of want to message her and ask if it's been sent just because I'm worried it's lost or something but I don't want to come across as rude or impatient. Just wondering what others would do?

  • I would leave it a bit longer. Most people say 28 days is a reasonable time, which would take you to 13 October. If it hasn't arrived I'd chase up then - just a polite email saying you're wondering if it has been sent as you're concerned it may have got lost in the post.

The guidelines are that unless otherwise stated delivery should be within 30 days.

8.28.3 if more than 30 days after the closing date, the date by which prizewinners will receive their prizes

I usually wait the 28 days, as stated by most comp rules,
though very rarely had to wait that long,
the odd ones that have been late I usually send a polite
email/message with the details in & ask if they could help
as i'd not yet received the prize etc,
then it's generally sorted out within the next couple of days,
hope you get yours sorted :)
