My former employer owns me money but now won't pay it. But i have it writing say they they owe me the money.

I was wondering if it would be easier to use small claims track now that you have to pay an Employment Tribunal?

Providing there is no employment issue in dispute then yes. There is however still a fee to pay (depending on the amount being claimed) but this will be added to the amount owed assuming you win.

What do mean buy "employment issue" do you mean unfair dismissal etc.
As I'm presuming my case would be considered breach of contract.

Yes.

If it is a straightforward breach of contract then it should be fine.
