past due admin fees

Hi,

I have just received a letter from a company called Pastdue credit solutions.

Npower have appointed them to recover a previous debt from my old address.

However they have stated administration fees of £200.00.

Surely this can't be right?

    Hi Jemma

I would ask Pastdue to highlight where exactly it is stated that they can charge such fees on an NPower account. Put the onus on them to prove they are entitled to add fees on this scale.

Either way, at the very least there is the energy bill itself to be recovered - are you in a position to make offers of payment and if not, have you considered your options for dealing with this and any other debts?

    Regards

I think you should write to them and ask them what the £200 admin fees actually consists of...is it a legit fee or are they just trying to get money out of you? I believe that have to prove that the administration cost them that amount to begin with. They cannot add extra money on just for the sake of it.

Did you know about this old debt? And are you able to pay it off or will you struggle? If you will struggle and are worried about paying it off then let us know and we will work something out for you in the form of advice :)

    Stuff there fees  !!!

just because they add them, does not mean you have to pay them, ask them what legislation they believe allows them to do this !!
And when they cant answer, tell them you will not be paying and not to bother you again !!!!
