Food Shopping and CREDIT Card

Options
Morning,
Finances are stretched. Someone bought me on of those Visa PrePay cards last week which are effectively a VISA with abour 25 pound loaded on to them. You get all the relevant CREDIT card details sent tou you (NOT a Chip & Pin Code).
So cupboard is pretty bare and wanted to use the CREDIT card to food shop. Either online or click and collect. Online and delivery coulsnt happen as the card is on value 25 pounds which is why I maybe would have to do click and collect..
SO..
In fact what walk in food shops would take a CREDIT card or similarly which Online food store would as well and based on having 25 pounds. Sorry to ask all questions but needs must ;-(

A credit card allows you to borrow money, which this does not.

Anyway, you can use it with Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose, Marks and Spencer...

Eh? Trying to parse some English sense out of that screed is non-trivial.

Pretty much any standard supermarket will let you pay with a credit or debit card in person without any minimum spend. Pop into a couple of supermarkets, see what is available, and then pop back and buy stuff.

I can assure you that the card isn't a credit card, as you wuld have to pay that £25 back. What you have is a reloadable pre-paid card which is in effect, a debit card minus the bank account.

What you have written in your first post :)

I have read it several times and still dont fully understand it - not helped by the fact that you think you have a credit card. What you appear to have is a pre-paid debit card , which could be considered as similar to a gift voucher , but can be used anywhere.

You have a card which has a value of £25. When the card is swiped it wil take the value of the goods off the card. So if you go into Tesco/Sainsburys or anywhere that takes visa debit cards and spend £10 , they will swipe the card and there will be £15 left on it.
