Help/reassurance needed for interview activity (TA year 1)

Hi,
I'm aware that most of the people in a position to give advice on this will be at work right now but...
I have an interview for Teaching Assistant 2 on Monday. I have to prepare and deliver a 10 minute phase 3 phonic activity for a group of 5 children (the position is for year 1 so I'm hoping the group will be that year)
After finding out what phase 3 phonics is I have thought of the following-
Theme is woodlands as they are having a school trip there soon.
I've chosen the letter 'w' and the sound 'oo' (worried that that's not enough? Considering including a tricky word)
Introduce- myself, the children and what we will be doing.
Teach/Practice- Say the sounds I've chosen, ask the children to write what they think they are on whiteboards, assess results.
Apply (my activity) We will pretend to go for a walk in the woods, will walk round the table or on the spot exploring what we can see, hear and feel. Come to the woods, it is now getting dark. I'm taking along a toy owl, the owl is called Hoot and there will follow a story about her.
During the story the children will shut their eyes (as it is night time) and whenever they hear one of our sounds they will thumbs up.
When thumbs go up for a CVC word or a 'oo' word we will stop and I will chose a child to write what they think the word is (school has a no hands up policy)
Assess- each child should get a go, higher learners can join their writing if wished, lots of praise stickers etc...
Does it sound like I'm on the right track? Not done the job for 7 years and back in the day you did what was written down for you!
Sorry for the long post but would really appreciate any feedback- this is before the interview even starts!
