Folks :-
I popped into Costco Oldham and noticed they were selling the Ion iTT USB turntable for £59.99 plus VAT. When these first came out they were at around £130, a quick look around online shows this to be a good price.
I hope that helps someone

I've been considering one of these from SVP. ( http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=2586 )
They've been £79.99 for a few weeks and this weekend is 99p shipping. The question I really need answering is....are they any good?
Question for Kevin: As you've seen one "in the flesh" did it look/feel tacky or classy?0 -
If I'm honest it didn't look THAT special - I wouldn't be embarassed to have it in the living room, but I certainly wouldn't call it classy either. Sorry for the fence sitting! :-)0

Monteray, I got one for Xmas, and I love it! Only problem is you have to configure your computers sound, and I had to fiddle with mine till I got it right. I'm now recrdeing all my old albums, so I can burn them onto CD. It's great to hear stuff from the 70's that I'd forgotten!
Mine actually sits on top of my mini system most of the time, but at the mo it's on the floor!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Thanks Hilstep for the feedback
I'll be really cheeky now and ask another question of you.
Is there bundled software with the turntable and if so, is it any good or do I have to buy some other software to make best use of this gadget? (Just trying to evaluate if the cost of the turntable is the end of the expense or is there something else still to buy)
Thanks in advance.0 -
how u get a costco card. i want to get 1 but on the site it says u need documents for a business but i know peopl tht just went in an payed for 1.

This looks like it could do the job for me, but for one thing - I can't find a site that mentions the warranty that comes with this. I wish vendors would remember that warranty periods are as important as delivery dates, price etc, if not more so.

It comes bundled with software to record onto PC then you can ask it to change that to other formats (like mp3) really simple in the recording stakes.
I bought the slightly more expensive one which has a 3.5mm jack input for connecting other things like tape recorders. Its that one which was around £120 -£130 this one was around £100 - £110.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
This item can be purchased from 'Maplin'. There is quite a bit of info on their site that may assist with some of the questions posted here, it has a FAQ.
The one they are selling is the model that you can plug a tape recorder into, it has been at £99.00 for some time now.
Free delivery when you spend over £35.00
Just for info if it helps.
