Pay day today but my cc payments are not quite due so I cant make any big changes to the debt - Ive been caught out before making the payment too early, I ended up with a charge as I then 'missed' the payment when it became due (managed to get it back when I explained though). Ive made a PAD of £5.60 to round the balances down but in a couple of days will make the big payment.

Ive had little lady to play group this morning and now we're tucked up indoors while the wind howls outside. No plans for the afternoon other than to get little man from school then hurry back home.

HiTwiggy. Thanks for popping in. Its frustrating at first as the end seems so far away but before we know it we will have made a lovely dent in that debt!

Work today has been hectic as usual. Im so pleased im off tomorrow with little lady. I also have my first weigh in at slimming world. Hoping just for any loss this week as ee did lots of eating over the weekend at dd's naming ceremony. Ive worked out that if I stick in I could easily lose a stone by christmas and thats my motivation at the minute. Dh tried to pursuade me to order takeaway for dinner but I stayed strong and saved my pennies and my waist line so im pleased with myself about that.

No payments due to the cc's yet which is frustrating but will check again tomorrow.

£150 paid to cc1 taking the figure into the 4's!!! :-) (Wish my smilies were working - would have the jumping up and down one here). Still waiting to pay cc2 but that payment should hopefully take the total balance into the 7's!

I also lost 3.5lbs on slimming world this week :-) (another jumping up and down smilie needed...).

Ive been to play group with DD this morning and shes now tucked up having her nap. After lunch I need to pop to the shops so as its a nice day I think we will walk there. I have a snow suit to take back which I bough for her but doesnt seem generous enough in size to last her very long. She got lots of vouchers for debenhams at her naming ceremony so will use some of those instead to get a different snowsuit (which I have seen in the shop and looks bigger than the one I got). We are out and about a lot and live in the chilly North so whilst she's still little enough to need pushing everywhere she needs one (plus a lot of the winter coats are a similar price!). I managed to get DS's winter coat in Asda for £20 and its absolutely lovely, its really thick but I think I will pick up a fleece to go underneath it as an extra layer as he always complains about being cold!

I need to pick some bits up at the shop, like nappies and wipes, but Im going to try the 'house keeping' system again, and withraw cash for the week rather than using the debit card. Ive transferred £480 to a seperate bank account and will take out £120 each Friday for food, petrol and any other bits we need (although will need this weeks today to get the things I need). Petrol is £50 for both of us so that leaves £70 for groceries and treats and should be plenty if we are careful. I just need to sort next weeks meal plan.

DS has swimming after school so I will need to take some juice and a snack for him and will take a flask of tea and a cereal bar for me so save buying things in the coffee shop there.

    Think thats all for now..

Well done on the weight loss and paying some of CC!

I can't wait until payday tomorrow so I can make some payments and start my new envelope style budgeting!

Ive made a payment to cc2 but its not quite enough to go into the 7's. I'll need to have a scout about and see if I can find some more money to reduce it a bit more this month. I have a couple of bits to ebay but Im having problems with my password. Other than that I think it will need to come from savings to the grocery budget.

We've had a lovely free day out with the kids today. We went to a lovely big local park this morning with nice walks and play areas then after that we went to a local museum where the kids had a little play and there were some free craft activities on. When DD had her nap we went into the indoor picnic area and had the picnic that I had brought from home as well as a couple of cuppas from the flask we had taken. After that we went to another play area, but as it started to rain we had to head home. We're all shattered but thankfully I prepared a lasagna for tea this morning which will just need popping in the over later.

Haven't posted in a while. Life has been hectic lately! DH and I have juggled some figures and transferred a couple of bits to the cc which is 0% so whilst it actually now looks worse - we have freed up more cash each month to make bigger payments so theoretically it should be cleared faster. I really just want rid of the debt now though and constantly find myself thinking about it and ways of getting rid of it.

What I'd really love to do is pay £1000 per month off it but that's not very likely - nevertheless that's what I'm going to aim for. So far this month I've paid £150/£1000. I've another payment to make in a few days and then need to get my thinking cap on for ideas of making more money.
