What is the debt owed for? (do you agree it is owed?)
I would imagine you should be able to offer to pay in installments. Either to the bailiff, or better still to the court.
You could try calling national debtline's free helpline for some advice on this, as bailiffs powers vary depending on the court involved, and we don't generally see much on the family and civil court on these boards.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
