Ok so I've been slowly paying off my credit cards and gone from a fair to good credit score. I have a car which is on lease and comes to an end in November. The finance is in my dad's name and I pay him every month as payments come out from his bank. I would like to upgrade car and wonder would I get car finance through…

A PCP with a bigger deposit will be easier to obtain than a lease agreement in your name, although obviously you will be paying more in total than a lease, but has the advantage of option to buy and a larger deposit means less risk to you and lender. If you're not in debt and can afford the payments should your circumstances change drastically in 6 months then go for it.
