Going on a skiing holiday at Xmas, need camera

Looked around the usual websites, had been told that Gopro was the way to go (helmet mounted) but my word, they're expensive, 300 quid is half the price of my holiday
I did get a tiny thing before for a tenner, the resolution was really poor but that was 8 years ago. Any ideas? TVMIA

If you've not had a camera in ten years then a basic small digital is probably the way to go. If it's just for holiday snaps though- just use your phone.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Had a Gopro but it fell off my jetski, that hurt a bit
Didn't have the yellow float thingie so it's on the ocean bed by now. Spent 60 quid on an SJ4000 and it's been pretty good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJm6k5wmtQw . Sony have an action cam too but I don't know what it's like. 0 -

The SJ series is about a sixth the price of a GoPro Hero Middle Range and has comparable quality and size. Plus, if you lose it, it's not the end of the world. Got mine at bang good uk, they have a china based website but I think the whole country is on holiday for next week. Go through their UK warehouse portal here http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Warehouse-c-uk-0-0-3-36-0-price-0-0_page1.html?p=FB0917407849201401SD and choose Price on the top left 'High to Low' and you'll see the SJ4000 listed (with the skier). I've put one on my remote controlled plane also, I'll dig out the footage.LucyHigginson111 wrote: »Thanks for that help. My phone is just a basic with a 3 or 5 megapixl, so I'll try for a digital cam.0
