Anyone got a slushie maker ?

hi there.

i wanted one of these for ages.
ideally was after the one where you shake it to turn it to slush.

i was bought some as a birthday present, but these ones you freeze the cup which is made of silicon, with a layer of ice cube bag type stuff that sits inside it.

the idea is then that you squeeze the cup to make the slushy.
it doesn't work.
it makes loads of mess.
i would definitely avoid!

We have one similar to the that candyfliss has and ours works as long as the cup is properly frozen and you refrigerate the liquid that you wish to turn into a slushie before hand. Non-refrigerated liquid will work just not as good also don't expect results that are shown in the picture in the box it will create enough just not the amount shown on the box.

I agree they are a waste of money, we took ours back as it was rubbish. The child will lose interest waiting for results.

Mine was absolute rubbish! See if you could get her interested in something else....

Thanks, we had the cup one, worked for a while and then didn't , was thinking more about the actual machines, anyone tried one of those.
