universal jobmatch question

I know that you never let jobcentre staff have access to your universal jobmatch account they use it to sanction people

but can they force you to go on schemes because you wont allow them access?
I have been sent onto an age concern course because i wont let them access my uj account

I never had a problem with my UJ account, and I allowed the JCP access and for the 3 years I was unemployed I never got sanctioned due to them having access so I don't see what all the fuss is about, as long as you are doing what they ask then there is no reason to sanction you

Yes and no. I'm pretty sure that that isn't the reason given on your introduction letter/ Jobseekers Direction, but it's not unlikely to be the actual reason.

Happens. I would guess that the purported reason for your attendance on the course is for help with job seeking and/ or training. It's appropriate to accept all genuine offers of help with good grace, and also appropriate to object to any pressure to allow access to your UJM account.
