Airtricity or Firmus for gas bill?

Changed from oil to gas in July 2013. Currently with Airtricity but their annual bill has me heavily in arrears. They adjusted my DD after only two months as they said I was paying too much, but my original monthly estimate was nearer the mark and now I owe them big style. When I complained, all I was offered was a token £10 goodwill gesture off the bill, so I'm thinking of clearing my arrears, settling up my account and switching to Firmus.

Had a similar experience myself when I was with airtricity for electric.
I was either not paying enough on my DD or, when they reviewed it, I was paying far too much.
Currently use budget for electric which seems to be working OK and Firmus for gas which again I can have no complaints over and the current charge per month seems fair compared to my useage.0
