CSA - Marital Status Query

Hi
I have looked around for this specific answer and had no joy so I hope someone can maybe help.
I am currently in receipt of CSA payments from my ex for our Son who has just turned 10 years old. We have only just started receiving money from my ex - the CSA finally tracked him down and he's been forced to pay directly from his wages from what I can gather. Before this he hadn't paid a penny towards his Son since the day he was born. We separated when I was 7 months pregnant despite having 5 happy years together beforehand.
I've been in receipt of CSA payments from my ex for 5 months now. I am in a relationship, have been for 4 years and we are discussing marriage. I was wondering, if I do get married, will this mean my ex no longer has to pay CSA? My decision to marry won't be swayed by the answer to that question by the way, I'm just asking out of curiosity.
If he no longer has to pay when I am married, is he still liable for the 9, nearly 10 years he didn't pay when he should have when I was not married?
I can't seem to get a straightforward answer to this anywhere, so any advice or feedback would be gratefully accepted!
Thanks

You being married to someone else has no bearing on CSA payments. Your sons father will still be liable up until your son is 20 (depending on education)0
