Hi all
Thank you in advance. I have found lots of useful info and I will first attempt to appeal with the standard template.
However I cannot find any info regarding with this company parkingdirectuk so I want to know who If someone who had experience with them can tell me who I am dealing with.
The incident happened last Wednesday nite at 9pm, in Hayes area. It was night, not fully lit, I do not remember seeing any signs to warn but if there was, it would not have been too obvious as I do not remember it. And other than this another point I like to add is that it was a piece of neglected land that you would never expect that would be anywhere managed and to that kind of level. Pot holes in the public roads are considered to be better shape than that "car park". Therefore I strongly believe that they intentionally try to cheat for money. I have the standard letter pcn with CCTV photos (one rear and one front). I was there no more than 5 minutes dropping off a very hungry child to subway to get some food after their car accident near heathrow and engine was never turned off and head lights are always on. In all honesty, it would have taken me near that time to turn around anyway as the condition of the land is so bad and I cannot see much which I have to go carefully to avoid area not to scuff or scratch my car. The entrance is not wide and there was a BMW 7 series parked on the side which they could have been in the way for me to get out anyway if I had to leave any earlier.
So other than the letter, is there any strong info I can add to it?
Thanks
J

Don't sweat it, just do the standard stuff.Je suis Charlie.0

Are you sure? A good 'eye for detail' will help you win this but you haven't told us the correct name of the scumbags - you mean ParkDirect UK I think.parkingdirectuk
No wonder you couldn't find anything if you searched for the wrong company name. Send the template appeal from the Newbies sticky thread and read threads about the correct firm!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
sorry for the typo
yes its PARKDIRECT UK ,
So the procedure is to do the standard appeal first? expect them to come back with a POPLA Code reply.
I am sure I will need more help later but lets hope that is it for now.
Do any have luck the first time round?
thanks0 -
Occasionally with eg Smart, but usually we have to go to POPLA. But that actually is ok, because every time we go to POPLA it costs the ppc £27 +vat so we like that!Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0
