Prize issue

Around over a month ago I won a prize off a blog which I was really looking forward to, I got emailed about winning on 1st Sept and I picked my prize and got confirmation that my details and prize details had been passed on to the company sorting out the prize.

Three weeks passed so I emailed the blogger just politely to ask if they knew when I should be expecting it as I haven't received it (Didn't mind waiting at all just hadn't heard anything). They said they would contact the company and said sorry that I had not received my prize and that they would get back to me ASAP.

I thanked them and haven't heard anything since (around a week)
As I said I do not mind waiting at all, I just would like to know what is going on with it. Anyway, my question is if I do not hear anything what would you suggest I do? I don't like sending lots of emails and am quite patient and don't want to bug the blogger too much as I know it's most likely the company who are causing the delay.

Has anyone had an experience like this with a blog prize and if so how did it get sorted in the end?

It's only just 28 days today - normally Ts and Cs state that prizes will be sent within 28 days, so it isn't very delayed yet. (This comes from someone who's been waiting since early June for one prize...!)

I would wait until it's a week to ten days since you contacted the blogger, and contact them again. You can always offer to take it up with the PR company / supplier directly, so they don't have the hassle of doing it.

Thanks for your reply. I do not mind waiting just wondered what was happening with it as the blogger seemed surprised that I hadn't received it yet.
I was thinking about offering to contact them myself but willing to wait and see if I get a response as she did say asap she would update me :)

No response from the blogger to my original email , has been over two weeks since they said they would update me as soon as possible but not received any emails, not sure what is taking so long, have sent another email to ask.

Hope I know what is going on soon...

Sorry to hear this, Pinkzie :( Maybe contact the company supplying the prize directly? Or perhaps a Tweet to the blogger / company?

Thanks for your reply again Jessica, I have sent another email tonight asking if they received the update from the company sorting out the prize, I re-read the original winning email and the blogger said the prize would be sorted that week (September 1st) by the company, this is why it all seems a bit odd to me. The prize was actually to be ordered by the company off a fashion site so not sure why there is a delay. I had to choose the items and they were sorting out the ordering.

I go on holiday next week for two weeks so hoping to try get a response before then, I will take your advice and try contact the company if I don't get a response to this email. The blogger has been updating their facebook and twitter very often so is definitely online. Even if there was no update it would be nice of her to let me know. This is the first time I've ever had an issue like this with a prize so a bit new to the chasing part.
