Pickle / Chutney Recipes

Hello everyone,
It's getting to that time of year and I really would like to make a chutney or pickle for christmas gifts. Last year I made a red pepper jam for my family - a recipe that came from a friend's mum. This year I'm looking to do something else. Something that might age in flavour over the next few months and perhaps last a while in a jar. (we still have a jar of pepper jam from last year unopened!)
Anyway, I'm sure people on here will have some great recipes so if you don't mind sharing them with me, please post a reply. Thanks a lot in advance!!!!

As Farway says you can't beat St Delia. This is my fave chutney recipe of hers.

I have 14 jars [STRIKE]festering[/STRIKE] erm...maturing at the moment ready for Christmas. It turns out a lovely dark red colour not the usual sludge brown ....very festive.0
