  • What puzzles me is how they can pass the agreement onto their children? So if my parents had a timeshare the bills pass onto me.

It states non payment will be chased through the courts. Is that in Spain or the UK?

I think its most time shares, you are not told at the time of purchase, and you cant get rid of the time share either
  • Contact Barclays, requesting a full refund under S75. See what happens.[/QUOTE]

That was the correct link I was refering to,
I did send an email to Barclays yesterday and they did ring earlier but was out.

I'm pretty sure someone was talking bovine excrement, to the OP, about that bit.

In the UK, certainly. But the contract was made in Tenerife, so Spanish law will apply here. OP will need to take advice accordingly.

I can't see it ever standing up in court, EU law still states that you can't sign an agreement for somebody else or put someone else in to debt etc.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.
  • I don't think it matters where in the world it is.

How can I be responsible, for a loan taken out by my 2nd cousin, twice removed

Also, given Spain is in the EU, surely EU law will prevent the transfer of debt from creditor to NOK.

OP needs to provide more info about the contract, otherwise this is all speculation.

  • I have read in newspapers that Bill of lading can act like security for mortgage loans,is it true?

There is no way that your children can be held responsible for a loan that they were not a party too. It wouldn't even get as far as the European Court.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
