Carpet Beetles?

Hi, I have noticed the following nestled in my carpet for almost a year. I hoover them away each time I spring clean, but they seem to be coming back. I have counted under 10 this time. There don't seem to be many, but I am worried that they may be the dreaded carpet beetles. Can anyone help in identifying them?
I have not managed to find a nest, but they seem to be originating from a boarded up fire place. I am finding them hidden under storage boxes and creases in the carpet under my bed.
Any help would be much appreciated :money:

That's the carpet beetle larvae
Think you may need to use an insecticide0 -

Thanks for your post. Have given the area one hell of a hoover this afternoon. Will see what insecticide I can find tomorrow. Counted under 10 of the lave so don't think it is a massive infestation, just can't seem to find the source.
One idea, I put my travel suitcase under the bed. Maybe some got into my bag whilst on holiday somewhere? Hope they have appropriate immigration paperwork if that's the case.0 -

Check everything that's been in storage for a while, suitcases, musical instruments, anything that may have fabric in it
My husband was staying in a flat that had been closed up for a while and when he moved a sofa the carpet was bare where the beetles had eaten away at it un disturbed for so long0 -

I don't think it has helped that I have neatly and closely packed things for storage under the bed. It seems this is just a haven for the beetles. Thankfully, they have made no noticeable damage. I couldn't get all of the carpet up, but there was absolutely no sign of them under the carpet. They were just under my storage boxes and the feet of the bed.0 -
Vacuum daily and get an insecticide like indorex from the vets. Over the counter stuff doesn't usually work. I think you can buy indorex at boots if there is a pharmacy0
