All entries must be received by midnight on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. 6. The winner will be contacted within 14 days of the closing date of the prize draw. Should the Promoter be unable to contact the winner or should the winner be unable to accept the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner, drawn in accordance with these terms and conditions.
7. The prize as described is available on the date of publication.
8. One entrant will win a two-night short break for two in Edinburgh. The prize package comprises:
• Two nights accommodation in the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, based on two people sharing a twin or double room on a bed and breakfast basis;
• First class return rail travel with East Coast Mainline from any East Coast Mainline station to Edinburgh;
• Two adult three-day Historic Scotland Explorer passes;
• One admission for the winner and their guest to either the GENERATION exhibition or The Two Roberts exhibition at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art;
• One catalogue of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art exhibition attended by the winner; and
• One afternoon tea for two in the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art caf!.
9. The winner’s choice of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art exhibitions is dependant on the date of the winner’s redemption of the prize.
10. The prize does not include travel insurance, travel between the winner’s home and the East Coast Mainline station, transfers between the station and the hotel, meals and refreshments, personal expenditure or incidental costs, other than where mentioned.
11. The prize must be taken in full by April 30, 2015 and excludes Hogmanay. All elements of the prize are subject to availability, non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
12. Where the winner’s guest is under the age of 18 years, the winner must be the parent or legal guardian of their guest. The winner and their guest must take all elements of the prize together. All elements of the prize are subject to availability, non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
13. The winner and their guest may be required to participate in reasonable publicity on behalf of VisitScotland and the Promoter.
14. Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and/or VisitScotland. Accordingly the Promoter and/or VisitScotland may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter and/or VisitScotland as a result thereof.
15. The Telegraph is responsible for the first part of the promotion, which is the publication and adjudication of the prize draw. All other facilities connected with the provision of the prize are the responsibility of VisitScotland.
