Job overpaid me 6 months ago...

Familar story i guess. Was/am working with a high street temping agency.
Apparently, six months ago I was paid £136 in error too much and now they want it back. Understandably, i am cross.
So far, all i have recieved is an informal email telling me "the account department will probably be in touch".
Can i get away with this? I have no loyalty to them and dont need even them as a reference. Would they go to court to chase up £136?
Or...can i just offer to pay it back at a paltry rate...ie. £2 a month?

just be honest & pay them back at a rate you can afford. just because you don't feel any loyalty to them & you don't need them as a reference doesn't mean you should lower yourself & try to get away with taking the money which you didn't work fornothing to see here, move along...0

If it was their mistake then you should be able to come to some sort of agreement to pay it back monthly instead of one lump payment.
I would not advise trying to get away with not paying it. Did you not notice the extra payment on your wage slip?2026 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #24 £9469.93/£20000 OP0
