Cant afford the big gift set this year even at half price, so bought my daughter the big 500ml body washes (three different sorts) on the 3 for 2 special, wrapped up in some pretty cellophane (from sainsburys) total cost of £13 , i'm quite happy with this as it's mostly the body wash my daughter uses.

I think we all fall in the trap of these deluxe boxes due to the nice presentation. The S&G one is good value though as the sizes are huge!


I'm trying to resist & run some of my supplies down. Plus there's always a couple of items in them that won't get used and when you factor this in along with the fact that they're on 3 for 2 most of the year anyway then it's not quite the bargain we think we are getting.


I'm sure your daughter will be just as thrilled with your gift in getting 3 of her fave's from the range rather than a big box of items that she may or may not have chosen.

There are going to be a further two versions of the S and G boxes (as well as the one we've seen on the shelves). Same contents just different box design
One is online only and one is instore only so you don't necessarily have to wait up til the wee small hours....

I have bought Soap and Glory and Champneys sets in the past , but not for several years. Items from the sets remain in my cupboard and those of my daughter and daughter in law 2 years later! Though I always look every year in hopes of a really great buy.
It is much better to buy what I know they , and I,will use , and not buy ostentatious boxes with lotions and potions which will be wasted.
A particular bad buy was the Champneys set I bought for my mother in law to give me:the quality was very poor and I threw away several items and sent the rest to a bring and buy. The body scrub was horrid and took several showers to remove.
I much prefer the 3 for 2 offers.

Interestingly the Ted Baker press release say it runs from Thursday till Thursday - does that mean S&G could be here this Thursday instead of Friday?
