Steam cleaner?

Options
Morning old stylers, it's been a VERY long time since I've been here but I need your help!

The situation is this - I need a steam cleaner, but I want one that will clean an entire tiled kitchen and bathroom in the minimum amount of time, so I need it to be powerful, and cover a large surface area. The only ones I've seen on the Internet are the small handheld ones with a nozzle or the steam floor cleaners. So - does such an item exist? I have a flat that is my husbands, and you can tell a woman hasn't lived there! We are trying to do it up at the moment as we intend to let it out next year if and when we have moved into a bigger place. So, I need it clean and nice, and with work etc; I don't have a lot of time to keep on top of it!

Any help or directions you can point me in would be most appreciated!

I have a Polti steam cleaner.....looks a bit like a cylinder vacuum cleaner. It comes with nozzle, floor cleaning head, upholsterly head and an iron. It is great for hard floors, tiles, bathroom etc. It doesn't clean carpets as such but is good for stain removal and refreshing. We have cream carpets, a dog and a 13 year old grandson and his associated friends and the carpets still look good. I whiz over the carpets (hall and living room) about once every 5 or 6 weeks.

We have a large tiled kitichen....17ft x 17ft and it takes a couple of minutes to clean the floor....I usually do it twice....once and then again with a clean cloth on the attachment....it gets the floor far cleaner than I ever could with a mop.

I refresh curtains while they are hanging......and the iron is great.

It's the only steam cleaner I have ever had, so I can't comment on any of the others.

However, they are quite expensive.....mine was around £300 about 3 years ago.
