2 new 'requests'

2 'requests' cases opened for Item Not Received. Both items sent in one package to Germany, with my return address on the back. Sent on 15th September, and 'requests' opened last night. No prior communication
What exactly are they 'requesting' ? I clicked the 'take action' link, and it takes me to Ebay Germany - I don't speak German so no point in going there.
I know I will have to refund, but instead of refunding immediately, I am leaving it for as long as possible. Can the buyer escalate before the action due date ?
I wouldn't mind, but I combined postage to help the buyer - in future I will leave the cost as is and send by tracked method. (More money for greedy Ebay)
I currently have 1.30% defects and with 88 sales this month, not sure what this is going to do to my scores.
Well done Ebay, another kick in the teeth. Calling it a 'request' is only winding me up further

Did you not pay the extra £5 to RM & send it Tracked/Signed, if not, you'll need to refund before the 8th day, as you can only win if you have tracking.
The REQUEST is the new eBay word for a CASE & might not affect your defect scores for UK
Also check the buyer's feedback left for others, lots of Bad Feedback or stating not received, hit the report buyer button
If you use Google Chrome, you can auto translate the eBay.de page, as your buyer is in Germany eBay choose the buyer over the seller when selecting where the case is open0 -
Items only cost £20, so not worth paying £10 postage for tracked.
I want to buy some barcodes that look similar to the Royal Mail tracked ones. Won't stop false claims completely (not saying that this is one), but might help. Does anyone have any idea where to get them, have looked on Ebay but am struggling to find. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

I buy them on ebay from a seller whose username is ppi.labels. They sell them in rolls of 1000 for £7.99. You can have any couple of words printed over the barcode. I have 'Despatch Tracked' printed on mine.0 -

I might take a look! I have started selling a high risk item and I am aware that there will be INR's!0 -

With me, my local Post Office queue is usually out the door!
If i've only got a few Recordeds to post, it's a bit annoying having to queue up for half an hour. Especially for low cost items.0 -

It costs about £5 extra on top of the cheapest non letter delivery (3.20) to have something sent signed for to Germany and I can't see many buyers being willing to pay £8.20 for an item that they only paid £20 for.
All they will do is to shop about and find a seller who doesn't insist on signed for deliveries.0 -
I make the foreign ones pay by bank transfer, which for some reason solves the problem of missing parcels."Love you Dave Brooker! x"
"i sent a letter headded sales of god act 1979"0 -
My postie told me these fake barcodes can lead to the destruction of the parcel so do check with RM before you use them.
Personally I dislike them a lot, they scream 'I don't trust you'.0
