  • I would say the Corned beef hash, cheap cheerful and always tastes better when re-heated so no need to worry about making it the day before and warming it up. With some crusty bread or pancakes yummy!

  • Baked potatoes with a choice of cold fillings - cheese, tuna etc and then a couple of slow cookers filled with savoury flings, i.e chilli, savoury mince, curry etc

A big bowl of mild chilli with some jacket spuds or even pasta. Make some kind of fruit cake (not a heavy one like Xmas cake) may just sling some sultanas in the cake mix).
  • Be careful if you're re-heating rice. http://www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/can-reheating-rice-cause-food-poisoning.aspx?CategoryID=51

Pasta would be quicker to cook from scratch, boil the water in the kettle first to speed things up.

How about a chunky home-made soup with lots of crusty bread?
